  • It's Up and Waiting For You

My last post was about an upcoming show at the Sidney Pier Hotel. It has now gone from upcoming to "upbeing". We hung the six main photos this morning in the main hallway heading to the restaurant and two others are being hung in the hallway in the spa. The two photos in the spa area are printed on other media than canvas. One is on aluminum and the other is composite under acrylic.

  • Announcing: Photographic Art Feature at Pier Hotel in Sidney BC.

Ken Foster - Scheduled Artist - March 16 to April 30, 2023 In conjunction with The Village Gallery (Sidney) six pieces of Ken's PhotoArt will be featured in the lobby area of the Pier Hotel at the end of Beacon Avenue in Sidney, BC. Six images on canvas will make up the display during the hours that the hotel is open. The canvases will be available for sale through the Gallery. Other of Ken's images can be seen at the gallery, on the gallery website or at Ken's own website. Seaside and Trees The six images will explore the themes of seaside and trees. The styles will vary through degrees of realism. Beach Rock is a quiet, peaceful image, very popular with viewers and has sold previously in different large sizes. Sailor's Warning is vivid and bold with small abstract touches and is still waiting to find the perfect home. It features a time just around sunrise facing the San Juan Islands from Island View Beach. The print on display will be approximately 54 inches wide x 14 inches high - perfect for behind a couch or over a fireplace. Be Sure to Drop By If you'd like to talk to the artist in person please send a message though the website and I will arrange to see you at the hotel. Please Check out the Website See the variety of my images and look at the store for a selection of Art Cards made and shipped by the artist. If there are other images not already in the store I can certainly create cards from those as well.

  • Late Start to the New Year

A week and a bit into 2023 and I am writing the first post since a flurry in September. So I'll start with the image that I shared with some friends for a New Year's Greeting and a couple of others which were all taken in December 2022. Next post I'll share some from the beginning of 2023. This point of view here is looking eastish from the path at the Resthaven bird sanctuary area. Slightly earlier was this view. Just farther along the path toward the point I found this excellent tree.
